This was my entry for the NVart design fusion challenge, but unfortunately i was not able to finish it in time, so i submitted the image the way it was and set out on a wild goose chase to
complete it at any cost with more details and colour.

you can see the old one here :

i must thank my friend debashish (deb) for his comment on my earlier entry 'dream dragon' .. he was actually disappointed with it, he also said that; personally it was not what he expected, he wanted more ... i then decided to get down and create something outrageously wild!
i also thank deepak, my friend and colleague at the studio, for encouraging me to spend more time on this piece ..
and of course, my silly pal vivek for tolerating my madness when it comes to working on personal projects such as this one...

amongst all the artworks i have created, this is the biggest one of them all .. 6390 x 4000 .. with a duration of

two whole months.

the head was created in 3dsmax and the rest (colour, makeup, details) was done in photoshop

- here is a screenshot of the model along with light settings ...

- light tracer settings ...

- final rendered base image ...

- also, here is the link to the two shaders i used in my render ... hope you all find them useful .. nothing much though, but surely you all can come up with a much better shader ...

http://www.fileqube.com/shared/fTwkRV48023

please wait for a few seconds, on the left side you will see a 'download file link ..

do let me know if the link is broken or anything ... i will post a new one

note : for the reflections i used a kitchen.hdr file added in the environment slot inside the raytrace shader...

but you can use any hdr file to your liking .. you will get different results to choose from ...

- finally, a little close up ...

hope you all like her ...
